Inheritance
Looking at family heirlooms, I was interested in what is passed down both tangible and psychologically. I was given this gun from my father, who received it from my grandfather. I was told to never sell the gun or give it away. When I remember my father, I first think of his fists and his steel toe boots. It seems fitting then that the only gift he ever gave me was a gun. An instrument of violence. If we are only ever given violence, where does that leave us?
